Pharmaceutical Foil Burst Strength Tester
Measure burst resistance of pharmaceutical aluminum foil and compatible low-strength sheets.
A low-pressure automatic burst-strength tester for pharmaceutical aluminum foil and compatible low-strength sheet materials.

Workflow and key features
The specimen is clamped over an elastic diaphragm and hydraulic pressure is applied at a controlled rate until rupture. The peak pressure is recorded as burst strength. The published NPD-20A reference is the low-pressure foil configuration; paperboard testing requires a separately selected high-pressure configuration.
- Seven-inch color touchscreen with microcomputer control
- Automatic clamping, pressurization, rupture detection and result capture
- Digital signal processing for pressure measurement
- Micro printer for immediate result reports
- Low-pressure diaphragm and clamping system selected for pharmaceutical foil
- High-pressure paperboard configurations are reviewed separately
Reference configuration
Published values describe the low-pressure pharmaceutical-foil configuration. Aluminum-foil and paperboard versions use different diaphragms and clamping force and are not interchangeable; the formal quotation identifies the selected version and supplied verification documents.
